"AutoERASERS help us by tackling any cleaning need. They work fantastically on brake dust in hard to clean sheels among many other difficult surfaces on the racecar."

TIM HARDY vs PIKES PEAK

Only 25 humans have reached the top of Pikes Peak in less than 10 minutes. Against all odds, Tim Hardy is one of them.

And, he's done it in the most unlikely fashion.

While browsing Craigslist back In 2011, Tim came across an old BMW for $460. With the help of family and friends, Tim began transforming the 1987 E30 into a machine he hoped to maneuver to the top of Pikes Peak.

For over a century, racers from across the globe have amassed in Colorado Springs once a year for a chance at scaling the famous mountain. Just reaching the summit safely with an operational race car, regardless of solid time, is a feat in itself.

The competitive racing teams who enter the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (with its 100th race approaching in 2022) are backed by huge corporate sponsors. Often "hired gun" drivers push state-of-the-art machines up the treacherous 12.42 mile course. Andretti, Unser, Pastrana, and many more legendary names have braved the 156 turns and over 9,000 feet of ascension toward the 14,115-foot summit.

But Tim is different... much different. He has no corporate sponsor. He's not the heir to a giant family fortune. The Hardy name is not synonymous with the Indy 500 or any other iconic event in the world of motorsports.

Next to his competitors, Tim is seen as a regular Joe. He's on a shoestring budget and his entire operation is tucked into his father's suburban garage. In conversation, he's soft-spoken and as modest as they come -- but in his race car, he's a calculated tyrant.

On race day, you'd never know Tim's racing machine is assembled from homemade carbon fiber, hand-crafted custom parts, and donated hardware from local businesses. Beneath the pristine black and green surface, this car truly is a powerfully flawless Frankenstein of Tim Hardy's creation.

Tim Hardy Racing epitomizes the American Dream. The Pikes Peak competitive field is the proverbial "Goliath" while Tim and his small crew is certainly "David." This underdog's passion, perseverance, and dedication is infectious.

We're humbled to be a small part of Tim Hardy's effort and we feel lucky to officially call AutoERASERS a proud sponsor of Tim Hardy Racing.

On June 26, the green flag will drop and Tim will speed up Pikes Peak for his 10th race. This year, Tim's AutoERASERS hill climb car has been overhauled and is better than ever.

Give that mountain hell, Tim.
